2020 Honda Insight for Sale in West Springfield, MA
The 2020 Honda Insight blends style and efficiency for the environmentally conscious driver. With its angled body and an intuitively designed interior layout, this exceptional hybrid sedan is good-looking as well as user-friendly. Last model year’s edition was named the 2019 Green Car of the Year by Green Car Journal for plenty of good reasons, and the new incarnation carries on with those same winning qualities.
Trims and Powertrain
The front-wheel-drive 2020 Honda Insight is offered in three distinct levels: the LX, EX, and Touring trims. The highly efficient hybrid powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an AC synchronous permanent-magnetic electric motor working with an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT). As with any hybrid, one of the main draws to the Insight is its fuel economy, which the EPA estimates at 55 mpg around town and 49 mpg on the highway for the LX and EX versions. The Touring trim, with the added weight of its extra standard equipment, is rated for a bit less: 51 mpg city and 45 mpg highway.
Comfort and Convenience
The LX comes with LED headlights, heated power-folding side mirrors, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, and push-button ignition. The EX adds a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat back and Smart Entry with Walk-Away auto-lock. The Touring is loaded with rain-sensing wipers, a sunroof, LED fog lights, turn signal indicators on the side mirrors, HomeLink technology, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and leather upholstery.
Technology and Safety
The Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist technologies is standard for all three trims. This excellent active-safety package includes collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. The EX and Touring models also include Honda’s LaneWatch camera system, which gives the driver a view of the driver’s right-side blind spot. Assessing the vehicle’s overall safety factor, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named the 2020 Honda Insight a Top Safety Pick+ (its highest ranking), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded it a five-star crash-test safety rating.
The base LX has an infotainment system with a 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free phone function and audio streaming, a six-speaker audio system, and a USB port in the center console. The EX upgrades to an 8-inch touchscreen and eight-speaker audio system and adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, HD radio, and two center-console USB ports. The Touring earns its top-trim status with a 10-speaker audio system, integrated navigation with voice recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic, an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, and eligibility for HondaLink subscription services.
