New Honda 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid for Sale in West Springfield, MA
Trims and Powertrains
Buyers of the 2022 CR-V Hybrid have a choice of trim levels –EX, EX-L, and Touring – all of which get the same powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. As mentioned, they put out a combined 212 hp. An electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT) handles the gear ratio changes.
According to the official fuel economy ratings from the EPA, the CR-V Hybrid achieves 40 miles per gallon around town and 35 mpg on the open road. It also has a regenerative braking feature that captures the kinetic energy formed during stopping and stores it in the hybrid battery for some additional range. Paddles on the steering wheel control the degree of that regeneration.
While the EX is technically the base level, it’s furnished with a mid-level slate of stuff, such as heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, auto on/off LED headlights, LED fog lights, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, four USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, a deluxe rearview camera that shows multiple angles with dynamic guidelines, a one-touch power moonroof with tilt, heated exterior mirrors with turn-signal indicators, an easy access 60/40-split rear seat, a sliding cover for the cargo area, and Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock (this feature allows you to unlock the vehicle without taking out the key fob and locks the doors automatically when you park it and walk away). The EX-L adds leather wrapping around the heated steering wheel and shifter knob, plus ambient interior lighting, leather seats (with power-adjustability for the front passenger), a power tailgate, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink universal garage door opener. The Touring gets the most, of course, with wireless smartphone charging, rain-sensing wipers, a hands-free liftgate, roof rails, and parking sensors for both the front and rear.
Honda Sensing, the automaker’s comprehensive grouping of active safety features, is standard on all CR-V Hybrids. It contains adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, and lane departure warning. Also standard are automatic high beams and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The base infotainment system contains everything you need: smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, an SMS text messaging assistant, a sound system with eight speakers, SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD radio, all of which are controlled via a 7-inch touchscreen. The Touring gets even more: built-in navigation, a top-end sound system with nine speakers (including a subwoofer), and voice recognition as an alternate control method.
