Honda makes buying the 2023 Civic Si simple, as it only comes in one trim. Its powerplant is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 200 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque. That output is 20 horsepower and 15 lb.-ft. stronger than that of the regular Civic sedan’s standard engine. Keeping with its driver-focused orientation, the front-wheel-drive Civic Si has a six-speed manual with rev-matching as the sole transmission. A limited-slip differential helps keep it all under control. The EPA estimates the Civic Si delivers 27 mpg around the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
Honda equips the Civic Si with a power moonroof, LED headlights with auto on/off, automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, sport pedals, heated power side mirrors, and fabric upholstery in a blend of black and red. The Civic Si also gets a manually adjustable driver’s seat with height controls, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather-wrapped aluminum shifter, a tilt/telescopic steering column, variable intermittent windshield wipers, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, dual chrome exhaust tips, and 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels.
Options for this performance sedan consist mainly of protection and appearance upgrades, including the HPD (Honda Performance Development) Package, which adds distinctive exterior treatments with underbody spoilers along all four sides.
Honda Sensing is standard with the 2023 Civic Si. The advanced features included in this technology bundle are forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. The Civic Si’s other assistive technology includes blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, a rear seat reminder, a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and automatic high beams. Honda also equips it with a complete airbag system, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control with traction control, and electronic brake distribution (which reduces the likelihood of skidding).
Infotainment for the 2023 Civic Si is handled via a 9-inch touchscreen. The system manages a 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Civic Si also provides HondaLink remote services, a text messaging assistant, and multiple USB ports.
