As the lowest-priced Honda Odyssey trim, the EX still gets a generous helping of standard equipment, led by heated front seats and tri-zone automatic climate control. It also has a 12-way power driver’s seat, a four-way power front passenger’s seat, LED lighting (including fog lights and automatic on/off headlights), power-adjustable outside mirrors, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, 18-inch alloy wheels, second-row sunshades, and rear privacy glass. Honda Sensing is standard as well, equipping the EX with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and traffic sign recognition. The other related standard features that aren’t technically part of the Honda Sensing package are automatic high beams, a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, and a rear-seat reminder. To keep everyone connected, there are UBS ports and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with seven speakers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an SMS text messaging assistant.
The EX-L gets fancy with leather seats, heated exterior mirrors, a power moonroof, a power tailgate, position memory for the driver’s seat and mirror settings, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a sound-reducing windshield, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The Sport reflects the EX-L’s standard features, but its appearance changes with a blacked-out grille and 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels on the outside, and red ambient interior lighting and a black leather interior with red contrast stitching on the inside.
The Touring ramps up the amenities with front and rear parking sensors, sunshades for the third-row passengers, LED ambient interior lighting, and some infotainment additions: integrated navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot and Honda connected services, and USB charge port for the third row. It’s also set up nicely for extended road trips, getting a 10.2-inch video entertainment system (Blu-ray™/DVD/CD) for the second and third rows, plus Honda’s CabinWatch rear-cabin monitoring and CabinTalk headphone-based intercom system.
The Elite trim reigns in the comfort and convenience categories with ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, a hands-free tailgate, sound-reducing windshield and side glass, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and power-folding exterior mirrors. In the entertainment department, it’s upgraded with a premium 11-speaker sound system.
