Honda manufactures the gas-only version of the 2024 Accord in two trims – LX and EX. Both are front-wheel drive and have a powertrain made up of a 192-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo-four engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Based on the official fuel economy estimates performed by the EPA, Accord drivers will get 29 mpg driving on city roads. and 37 mpg on the highway.
Honda equips the LX with cloth seating, automatic climate control, dual USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, push-button start, a 10.2-inch driver information display, fold-down rear seats with a center armrest, a self-opening trunk, LED headlights and taillights, body-colored side mirrors, and 17-inch silver-painted alloy wheels. The EX adds heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a one-touch power moonroof with tilt, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, heated side mirrors, and 17-inch pewter-painted alloy wheels.
Wireless device charging can be added to either trim, along with four optional equipment groupings. The All-Season Protection Package I adds a cargo tray as well as protection from mud and dirt thanks to all-season floor mats and a splash guard set. The All-Season Protection Package II removes the splash guards and adds wheel locks, while the available Protection Package has all of the above except for the all-season floor mats. Those who wish to alter the exterior style of the Accord can opt for the HPD Styling Package. It adds the HPD emblem, a door mirror cover, a black decklid spoiler, and underbody spoilers all around (front, rear, and sides).
All 2024 Accords are set up with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist technologies. The standard package includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, automatic high-beams, a rearview camera, pedestrian and cyclist detection, a driver attention monitor, low-speed follow, and rear seat alert. The EX also gets blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Both trims have a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a sound system with speed-sensitive volume. The LX gets four speakers while the EX gets eight.
