Trims and Powertrain

The 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid comes in three trims – Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring – all of which have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. The combined output for the setup is 204 horsepower. The Sport and Sport-L get front-wheel drive (FWD) by default, but they’re eligible for all-wheel drive (AWD); the Sport Touring is made strictly with AWD. Both drivetrains are managed by an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT).

FWD versions of the CR-V Hybrid are EPA-rated to achieve 43 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. With AWD, the CR-V Hybrid is estimated to return 40 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the open road. Cargo space ranges from 39.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats to 76.5 cubic feet behind the front row. The CR-V Hybrid can tow a small trailer with a total weight (trailer and contents) of not more than 1,000 pounds.

Standard Features

The Sport comes well equipped with some unexpected features, such as proximity keyless entry, a power moonroof, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a ten-way power driver’s seat. This trim also has fabric upholstery, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, rear privacy glass, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a 7-inch digital instrument display, push-button start, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, rear-seat HVAC ducts, and 18-inch wheels.

Honda takes the CR-V Hybrid further upscale with the Sport-L, which gets leather upholstery, a power tailgate, a driver’s position memory system, a four-way power front passenger seat, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Completing the lineup is the Sport Touring with these standard luxuries: a heated steering wheel, a hands-free tailgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and 19-inch wheels.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Honda Sensing, a comprehensive collection of advanced driver-aid technologies, is standard on every 2024 CR-V Hybrid. Its high-tech features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high beams. Front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control are standard on both the Sport-L and Sport Touring. All CR-V Hybrids have anti-lock brakes, a full array of airbags, vehicle stability assist with traction control, a rear seat reminder, and a multi-angle rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Infotainment for the CR-V Hybrid Sport is served through a 7-inch touchscreen. This trim also comes with a six-speaker sound system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, text messaging support, USB ports, and access to the HondaLink smartphone app for roadside help and other features. The higher trims are upgraded with a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connect, SiriusXM satellite radio, and wireless device charging. The Sport-L gets eight speakers, while the Sport Touring shines with a 12-speaker Bose unit. In addition, the Sport Touring gets navigation and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and HondaLink subscription services.
