Trims and Powertrains

As mentioned, the Civic Hatchback lineup has just three entries now: the Sport, Sport Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid. As the base trim, the Sport runs on a 150-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid move into more efficient territory with two electric motors added to the same engine, resulting in combined 200 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) completes the powertrain, and front-wheel drive is the rule for all three.

The ’25 Civic Hatchback is certainly fuel efficient, with the Sport returning an EPA-estimated 30 mpg around town and 38 mpg on the highway. But it still can’t quite touch the numbers of the two hybrid trims, which achieve 50 mpg in city driving and 45 mpg on the open road.

Standard Equipment by Trim

The Sport has everything you’ll need a little more, with proximity keyless entry, LED exterior lighting, cloth upholstery, automatic climate control (one zone), push-button ignition, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, a 7-inch driver information display, heat/AC ducts for the back seat, a leather-wrapped shift knob, two USB ports, and 18-inch wheels. The Sport Hybrid adds heated front seats, a power moonroof, a second automatic climate control zone, an eight-way power-adjustable seat for the driver, variable intermittent windshield wipers, and a rear-seat center armrest with beverage holders.

The Sport Touring Hybrid is the most loaded, as it gets genuine leather upholstery, wireless device charging a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a four-way power-adjustable seat for the front passenger, a 10.2-inch driver information display, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors with built-in turn indicators, rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Advanced Safety Technology

Honda Sensing, the proprietary grouping of driver-assist technologies, is standard on the Civic Hatchback. It’s made up of automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a blind-spot monitor, a rear cross-traffic monitor, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and rear-seat reminder. A rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines that supplies views from multiple angles is also standard. Parking sensors (front and rear) and low-speed braking control (automatic forward and reverse braking during low-speed maneuvering) are added to the Sport Touring Hybrid.

Multimedia and Connectivity

The Sport and Sport Hybrid get the base infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, while the Sport Touring Hybrid is upgraded to a 9-inch touchscreen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay comes standard, with wireless connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot access only in the Sport Touring Hybrid. All trims get Bluetooth, Google built-in (for Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other services), a text messaging assistant, and the HondaLink smartphone app. A sound system with eight speakers serves the two lower trims, while the Sport Touring Hybrid is loaded with a Bose unit and 12 speakers.
