Honda gives eager buyers three CR-V trims to choose from: LX, EX, and EX-L. They each have a 190-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). All-wheel drive is available for those who prefer it to the default front-wheel drivetrain. A standard drive-mode selector lets the operator choose among settings called Normal, Snow, and ECON. With up to 8.2 inches of ground clearance, the CR-V provides a good view of the road ahead. It can even tow a little: up to 1,500 pounds.
When it’s equipped with front-wheel drive, the CR-V achieves an EPA-estimated 28 mpg on city roads and 34 mpg on the highway. With all-wheel drive, those official estimations change to 26 city/31 highway.
The LX has remote entry, cloth upholstery with manually adjustable front seats, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, push-button start, an automatic climate control system with rear-seat ducts, 12-volt power outlets (one in the cargo area and one in the front console), one USB port, center console ambient lighting, a reclining fold-down 60/40-split rear seatback, a roofline spoiler with an integrated brake light, power side-view mirrors containing integrated LED turn indicators, LED headlights, LED taillights, an active shutter grille, a hood damper, and 17-inch steel wheels with covers.
Added to the EX are heated front seats, a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way lumbar support, an additional USB port in the front plus two more in the second row, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, heated side mirrors, and 18-inch silver alloy wheels. The top-spec EX-L has leather upholstery, wireless device charging, a two-position driver’s seat memory function, a four-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, a power tailgate with programmable height, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Every 2025 CR-V has the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver-assist technologies. This includes road departure mitigation, automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic jam assist, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, driver attention monitoring, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and a rear seat reminder. The EX and EX-L add a cross-traffic monitor and blind spot monitoring. The EX-L alone includes low-speed braking control with front and rear parking sensors.
All CR-Vs have a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SMS text messaging, and HondaLink capability; the two lower trims have a 7-inch screen while the EX-L moves up to a 9-inch screen. The LX has a straightforward four-speaker audio system. The EX gets a 240-watt system with another pair of speakers, while the EX-L upgrades to an eight-speaker system (320 watts) with a physical knob for volume control. EX-L buyers also get wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD Radio.
