The three HR-V trims – LX, Sport, and EX-L – allow buyers to target the version that best checks off the must-haves on their list. Under the ’25 HR-V’s hood is a 158-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which pairs with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to manage the standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel drive (AWD). Cargo volume behind the rear seats is 24.4 cubic feet, which expands to 55.1 cubic feet behind the first row. The EPA has officially estimated the FWD version to achieve 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. With AWD, that becomes 25 mpg around town and 30 mpg on the open road.
The equipment roster for the LX trim is focused on the essentials. This most affordable HR-V gets fabric upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, single-zone automatic climate control, rear-seat heat ducts, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, remote keyless entry, push-button start, power side mirrors, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a center console with a sliding armrest and storage compartment, a 7-inch driver information display, three USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Sport edition upgrades the HR-V with heated front seats, proximity keyless entry, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, trim-specific exterior treatments, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, rear privacy glass, illuminated front-row vanity mirrors, and 18-inch gloss-black alloy wheels. The top-of-the-line EX-L is loaded with a power moonroof, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient LED interior lighting, wireless device charging, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Honda Sensing, a suite of driver-assistive technologies, is installed in every 2025 HR-V. Its features consist of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams.
The Sport and EX-L also get blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control (the brakes are automatically applied at low speeds to prevent collision) are standard in the EX-L. All trims have a full airbag system, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, a rear seat reminder, and a multi-angle rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.
You’ll use an advanced touchscreen display (7 inches for the LX and Sport and 9 inches for the EX-L) to manage your HR-V’s multimedia features. This infotainment system has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (upgraded to wireless in the EX-L), Bluetooth, text messaging support, and access to HondaLink connected services. SiriusXM satellite radio becomes standard in the EX-L. All trims get a 180-watt audio system with four speakers for the LX, six for the Sport, and eight for the EX-L.
