The 2026 CR-V Hybrid comes in four trims: Sport, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring. They all receive a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a dual electric motor hybrid system, producing a combined 204 horsepower. The Sport and Sport-L come with front-wheel drive (FWD) that can be upgraded to all-wheel drive (AWD), which is standard with the TrailSport and Sport Touring trims. An electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT) manages both drivetrains.
With front-wheel drive, the CR-V Hybrid is EPA-rated for 43 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. Most CR-V Hybrid trims with AWD are estimated to achieve 40 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the open road. This changes to 38 city/33 highway for the heavier TrailSport. The 2026 CR-V Hybrid can tow 1,000 pounds and store up to 76.5 cubic feet of cargo (39.3 cubic feet behind the rear seat).
It’s hard to think of the Sport trim as the base version when it comes with a power moonroof, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a ten-way power driver’s seat. It also has proximity keyless entry, push-button start, remote start, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, a 7-inch digital instrument display (new for 2026), a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, heated power side-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, rear privacy glass, four USB ports (two per row), white LED ambient cabin lighting, wireless device charging, and 18-inch wheels. The TrailSport has more swagger with its extra-rugged appearance and unique exterior accents. It has leather upholstery, TrailSport-embroidered headrests, Continental CrossContact all-terrain tires mounted on trim-specific 18-inch alloy wheels, all-season rubber floor mats, and amber ambient cabin lighting. It also gets a power tailgate, a heated steering wheel, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The Sport-L expands on the Sport’s amenities by adding leather upholstery, a driver’s position memory system, a power tailgate, a four-way power front passenger seat, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Sport Touring adds a hands-free power tailgate, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The 2026 CR-V Hybrid comes with the Honda Sensing safety technology suite, which consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a cross-traffic monitor, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, a driver attention monitor, a rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. The Sport-L and Sport Touring also have front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control. All trims also get a compliment of airbags, stability control, traction control, and a multi-angle rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.
The CR-V Hybrid’s infotainment system is built around a 9-inch touchscreen, with standard wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and access to HondaLink connected services. As part of this 2026 refresh, the Sport Touring becomes the first CR-V Hybrid with a Google built-in multimedia system; it also comes with HD Radio and an unlimited data plan for three years. The Sport has a 240-watt audio system with six speakers, while the TrailSport and Sport-L move up to a 320-watt setup with eight speakers. The Sport Touring is treated to a Bose arrangement with twelve speakers and a subwoofer.
