The 2026 Honda CR-V lineup consists of the LX, EX, and EX-L. All three trims have a turbocharged 190-horsepower 4-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission. The maximum towing capacity is 1,500 pounds for a properly equipped CR-V. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, but the option of all-wheel drive (AWD) is available on every trim. Fuel economy has been estimated by the EPA to be 28 mpg city/33 mpg highway with FWD, and 27 mpg city/31 mpg highway with AWD.
The LX is a generously equipped base trim with a good mix of amenities for convenience and comfort. The highlights are automatic climate control, a wireless phone charge pad, rear-seat heater ducts, LED cargo-area lighting, a 7.0-inch TFT meter display, two front USB ports, remote entry, LED headlights with auto-on/off, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, power side-view mirrors with integrated LED turn indicators, smart-clear wipers with a heated park zone, a rear-window wiper/washer, and 17-inch steel wheels with covers.
The upgrades to the EX are remote engine start with climate control, heated front seats, a second zone for the automatic climate control, a one-touch power moonroof, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated power side-view mirrors, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, ambient white LED lighting, two rear USB ports, and 18-inch silver-painted alloy wheels. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, a power tailgate with programmable height, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, memory settings for the driver’s seat, a 4-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
Every ‘26 CR-V is equipped with Honda Sensing, a driver-assistive suite that includes collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, a driver attention monitor, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high-beams. A rear seat reminder is also included on all trims to ensure that no one gets left behind. The EX adds a blind-spot information system and cross-traffic monitor, while the EX-L ups the ante with front/rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control.
The only multimedia-related difference in the ‘26 CR-V lineup is the audio experience: the LX has a 160-watt stereo with four speakers, while the EX has a 240-watt system with six speakers and the EX-L has a 320-watt setup with eight speakers. Otherwise, each grade comes well appointed with a 9-inch color touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth streaming audio, and access to the HondaLink smartphone app.
