2026 Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid

2026 Honda
Civic Sedan Hybrid

More than two decades ago, the Civic Hybrid helped reinforce Honda’s reputation for innovation and practicality, with fuel economy that was substantially better than its already efficient conventional Civic counterpart. Eventually, the Civic Hybrid left Honda’s lineup for a decade, returning last model year to considerable fanfare. This more modern version brings with it stellar EPA ratings (up to 50 mpg) along with a performance upgrade. With 200 horsepower happening under its hood, today’s Civic Hybrid redefines the compact sedan.

For 2026, the Civic Hybrid continues to defy expectations with standard premium features like a power moonroof and heated front seats, keeping it ahead in a competitive segment. In addition to generous cabin space, the Civic Hybrid Sedan boasts a trunk almost as large as the Honda Accord’s. Value is also an unwavering Honda trait, and the 2026 Civic Hybrid certainly has it. Owners benefit from the Honda Service Pass program, which covers the first year of standard scheduled maintenance.

This overview explores the 2026 Civic Sedan Hybrid. Look for our separate pages on the other Civic editions: the non-hybrid Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Hatchback Hybrid, Civic Si, and Civic Type R.

Trims and Powertrain

The Civic Sedan Hybrid is made in a simple lineup of just the Sport and Sport Touring trims. They both use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with dual electric motors. The model’s output totals 200 horsepower, which is sent to the front-wheel drivetrain through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Civic Sedan Hybrid is EPA-rated to achieve 50 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway. The trunk can hold 14.8 cubic feet of cargo.
