Mechanical Overview
The Civic Si stands as a single-trim model with a generous array of amenities. Under its hood is a 200-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs up with a rarity: a six-speed manual transmission. The front-wheel drivetrain keeps fuel efficiency up: you can expect to achieve 27 mpg around town and 37 mpg on the highway, as estimated by the EPA. What really makes the Civic Si fun to drive is its sport-tuned chassis, complete with a drive mode selector (the settings are Normal, Sport, and Individual). It also gets a helical limited-slip differential and MacPherson struts.
