2026 Honda Civic Si

2026 Honda
Civic Si

The Civic Si brings a bucketload of zest to an otherwise mellow nameplate in Honda’s lineup. While the regular Civic represents value and dependability in everyday transportation, the “Si” (short for “sport injected”) suffix adds to those attributes with higher horsepower as well as upgrades for performance and appearance. The turbocharged Civic Si makes driving fun without breaking the budget, and it’s still made solely with a manual transmission. Aside from all of that, it preserves peace of mind with a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the added value of complimentary maintenance, with the first year’s oil change and tire rotation covered.

Mechanical Overview

The Civic Si stands as a single-trim model with a generous array of amenities. Under its hood is a 200-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs up with a rarity: a six-speed manual transmission. The front-wheel drivetrain keeps fuel efficiency up: you can expect to achieve 27 mpg around town and 37 mpg on the highway, as estimated by the EPA. What really makes the Civic Si fun to drive is its sport-tuned chassis, complete with a drive mode selector (the settings are Normal, Sport, and Individual). It also gets a helical limited-slip differential and MacPherson struts.

Standard Features

Honda packs this one-trim wonder with a nice combination of comforts and conveniences, starting with proximity keyless entry, heated front seats, a power moonroof, automatic climate control, a 10.2-inch digital display, push-button start, and automatic LED headlights. The interior color scheme is red-and-black, with cloth seat upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an aluminum shift knob, sport pedals, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, and two USB ports. The exterior is accented by a decklid spoiler and 18-inch matte black wheels; the optional HPD (Honda Performance Development) Package can be elected for underbody spoilers and some other appearance-related additions.

Safety Technology

The excellent Honda Sensing technology suite comes standard on the Civic Si. This proprietary driver-assist array contains adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking with pedestrian detection, road departure mitigation, and traffic sign recognition. You also get a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, airbags, stability and traction control, and a rearview camera that shows the projected backup path complete with dynamic guidelines.

Staying Connected

The Civic Si’s got connectivity covered with a Google built-in 9-inch touchscreen infotainment setup. Its components are wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and a text messaging assistant. Since it’s Google-based, access to popular apps like Google Maps and Google Assistant is simple. Honda also includes and HondaLink connected services and Wi-Fi hotspot access with a complimentary three-year unlimited data plan. A 12-speaker Bose array handles the audio duties.
