New Honda 2023 Honda CR-V for Sale in West Springfield, MA

Overview
Redesigns always mean improvement, and the forthcoming launch of the sixth-generation Honda CR-V represents a new look for America’s favorite crossover and the introduction of additional technologies as standard equipment. Among the most noticeable changes for the redesigned CR-V is a more prominent grille flanked by integrated LED headlights. Sculpted body lines and bolder wheel openings add to this best-seller’s appearance, which balances ruggedness with sophistication. The design provides increased passenger room and the largest cargo space in the model’s history. That works out to as much as 39.3 cubic feet (or 76.5 cubic feet when the 60/40-split folding rear seats are down). The 2023 Honda CR-V also debuts Body Stabilizing Seats for enhanced front comfort and a reconfigured steering wheel angle for a sportier and more sedan-like driving position.
Trims and Powertrains
Honda is reformulating the CR-V’s lineup for 2023, with EX and EX-L starting the model range. The next steps up are the new Sport and Sport Touring trims. In another change for 2023, Honda is standardizing powerplants between the CR-V variations. Powering the EX and EX-L is an updated turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 190 horsepower and 179 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers preferring a hybrid CR-V will want to select the Sport or Sport Touring, as these trims come exclusively with a fourth-generation gas-electric hybrid powertrain. This system pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with dual electric motors for a combined output of 204 horsepower and 247 lb.-ft. of torque.
Front-wheel drive is standard for all CR-V trims except for the Sport Touring, which automatically gets Real Time AWD (it’s optional on the lower trims). It’s also worth noting that the CR-V now comes with Hill Descent Control for improved low-speed off-road capability. The EPA’s official fuel economy ratings will be disclosed closer to the release date.
Standard Features
While you’ll have to stay tuned for a complete equipment list, we know that the EX comes with digital instrumentation, fabric upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and black dashboard trim. The EX-L will add a four-way power front passenger seat, leather-trimmed seating, and piano-black dash accents.
The Sport starts with the base EX’s equipment roster but upgrades to premium fabric upholstery, while the Sport Touring will carry forward from the EX-L with trim-specific leather seating. Both the Sport and Sport Touring will have a black headliner and orange accent stitching on the seats, console, steering wheel, and shifter.
Advanced Safety Aids
Honda Sensing, the company’s well-regarded suite of advanced driver aid technologies, continues as standard across the CR-V lineup. This collection of assistive technologies includes collision mitigation, road departure mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Some of the updates within this redesign are an improved camera and radar system, blind-spot monitoring (now standard on all trims), traffic jam assist, low-speed braking control, and traffic sign recognition. A driver attention monitor, rear seatbelt reminder, and rear seat reminder will also be installed on every 2023 CR-V.
Infotainment Technology
A 7-inch touchscreen is the infotainment nerve center for the EX and Sport, along with separate knobs to manage the multi-speaker audio system. The EX-L and Sport Touring get a 9-inch touchscreen, which also adds a simplified on-screen menu structure, navigation, and wireless device charging. All CR-V trims will have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (with wireless connectivity for the EX-L and Sport Touring), dual front USB ports (plus second-row USB ports in the EX-L and Sport Touring). The Sport Touring alone will get a standard 12-speaker Bose sound system.
